Manual process – Manual process provides you the option to export MBOX file to Outlook.

Option 1 – Manual the process to import MBOX to Outlook

For Mac OS users move MBOX to Outlook using Apple Mail (import MBOX from Apple Mail)
Open Apple Mail >> then go to File >> then Import option
Choose an option from where you want to import data in MBOX format.
Now click to Continue button and proceed to the location where MBOX file is >> click on Continue button and select MBOX from location >> choose file >> continue
When the importing process is completed >> simply click on finish

Also, we have another option, Import an MBOX file inside Thunderbird.

Open Thunderbird application and then choose the filename.mbox folder from the Local Folders.
Then select all emails with “Shift + click” or “Ctrl + a”.
After that right click on selected emails and click on the “Save As”.
Then choose the location, folder or also you can create a new folder to save the selected emails.
Now, open MS Outlook within the same system.
Then Go to File option from the menu and select the Account Setting and switch to the Data Files option.
After that click on the “Add and select Outlook data file (.pst): from the provided options.
After that choose the destination folder and provide the name to the new Outlook data file.
After that have to go to the window explorer and just locate the folder, which we exported in step 4 (exported from Thunderbird).
Then select all the emails (Ctrl + a), and just drag and drop them to MS outlook in the message pane also you can pour on the newly created data file i.e. Test files.
Then wait for the till all emails transferred successfully. After that, you can view the converted emails to PST file.

The Second Method by using Outlook

First, Go to File and simply click on Open option
Then choose the “Import” option and then Import / Export window will be opened.
Now, select Import Internet Mail and Addresses >> and choose the Outlook Express or Window Mail
Now just click on Import >> and start the import process.
Finally, you can get access to all the data in MBOX file through Outlook.

Why NO to Manual Methods?

Manual processes to import MBOX to the outlook are free of cost, but users must have higher expertise and technical knowledge. Also, manual methods are time confusion also not safe.
